Poppit Sands beach offers views across the Teifi river estuary and the bay towards Gwbert and its fabulous view point, the glamorous Cliff hotel on the edge of the Gwbert cliffs and the fascinating Cardigan Island. St Dogmaels is the nearest village, 1½ mile away up the estuary.

The beach carries a ‘Blue Flag’ status; it has a ‘Life saving club’ and has the RLNI lifeboat station on site. It is a gathering spot for surfers, fishing, power-kiting, etc. The flats and estuary are popular with dog walkers all year around.
