Vlad-Art shop in Cardigan

I have always been interested in images, painting, drawing and photography which I did for many years, as a hobby, winning many prizes in national competitions. I worked as a garment decorator for a London firm in the screen printing industry.

My life took a new turn when I was made redundant many years later, and I recognised that this was a time for me to do what I wanted to do. So now, it was my turn to design and create for my own business.

I began to put my collection together, starting off initially with Pencil Drawings, moving on to Watercolour and finally settling with the medium of oils.

I created Vlad-Art in 2017 and from then, having sold my work successfully in local businesses in and around the Cardigan area, I felt it was time to venture out on my own and the doors of my own gallery opened in Summer of 2021.

Something for everyone

My gallery offers a range of artworks including Original Art in oil paintings, Watercolors and Pencil Drawings. Open-Edition and Limited-Edition prints on art paper or canvas of all paintings are available on the premises, in varying sizes, framed  or unframed. It is the only gallery in the area where you can choose an image of your choice and have it printed and framed within the hour, ready to take home. It is also one of the rare galleries, where you can see the artist in residence painting in his studio.

I also present art sculptures and ceramics from local artists. There is currently also some pottery available to purchase, supplied by Ceredigion Potters, Duncan and Karen Browning of Cwmystwyth Pottery.  There is something for everyone and for all budgets.

The gallery has now attracted many visitors searching for realistic art of West Wales, whether landscapes, seascapes, wild life, in oil painting, watercolours, as originals or prints on canvas or archival gallery art paper. I am constantly told that the space is welcoming, light and airy and being on the sunny side of the street, the display window with its colourful display of paintings, draws people in.

With the exception of the sizes available on the website, all paintings can be printed and framed up to A2 size. Specific and odd size prints on canvases can be ordered by special request by email and can be posted to the desired address, or collected in person from the gallery.

If you have any enquiries about my paintings on the website, or the availability of my original paintings, please contact me by email at enquiries@vlad-art.co.uk.

Parking: There is limited parking on Priory Street up to 1 hour, though you can normally find a space. Alternatively there is town parking available at Greenfield Square car park, Williams Terrace car park, Gloster Row long stay car park and Mwldan car park.
