Pwllgwaelod, a beach of golden sand sheltered by steep high cliffs on either side, is a great place to start the Dinas Head coastal walk to Cwm Yr Eglwys. The walk is around 3 miles and it takes around 1hr 15 minutes without stopping. You can stroll along back in a short walk from Cwm yr Eglwys along the flat ‘valley’ path back to Pwllgwaelod. It is a great spot for young families with a car park and public toilets. This is also a really good place for cool drinks in the “Old Sailors”pub just steps from the beach where can be seen superb sunsets.
