Mwnt is a very small community on the Ceredigion Coast Path. It gets its name from the bulging iconic hill which is a landmark  in Cardigan Bay. Besides being known for its popular beach, voted one of Europe's top ten loveliest hidden beaches, and for being a regular summer home to dolphins, seals and porpoises, it is also known for its little chapel of the Holy Cross dating possibly of the 14th century. Mwnt chapel has been the site of choice for romantic engagements and has therefore hosted many weddings. This sun rise illuminating the chapel and its surroundings is the birth of a new day symbolising a new beginning, a new life as it is in a marriage.
